Letting go

People say that to love and be loved is the greatest feeling you’ve ever felt. But the greatest feeling is never without a great risk. Once you've decided to love someone, you also took the big decision to let them go and face the broken heart all alone. Broken heart is the feeling that even Cassanova had ever felt. Broken heart is something that can make your world turned upside down, it can ruin your days, your feelings, and even your lives. I have been a brokenhearted girl, and I've seen a lot of people struggling to mend the broken hearts. Well, a lot of tears, griefs, and even anger collide in a mix-up feeling. Damn!!
A lot of motivational books and articles are written to strengthen those whose brokenhearted, but most of the times, those writings only make it worse. For my experience, the only way to mend our broken heart is to take control of our minds and our feelings. Because once we make up our mind to get over it, the faster the healing process will begin. The problem is a lot of people usually can't let go. It is a wrong opinion if one said that letting go means giving up. Giving up means we have put no hope for the future, but letting go is different. When we let go, it means we're moving on, and we're hoping the best to come for our lives and for the ones we ever loved before. In letting go we are taught of acceptance, that both of us are moving on with our own lives. Sometimes, after the whole process, we are reunited with the ones who we really loved, but the rest even get a better person.
According to my experience, it's better to learn to let go, than to push yourself to be a better person to get him/her, it just won't work.. Sometimes, the ones that help me to get through are not even my best friends.. It's music. Music can make you laugh and cry at the same time, and suddenly it gives you the kind of relieve you need. Than you'll start to let go... Below is one of the song I used to hear to cope.. It is from an Indonesian movie entitled 9 Naga.

Pulang ke Hatimu, by Shera

Telah letih langkahku dan terasa berat
cukup banyak kesalahan kubuat
dimimpiku ku dengar bunyi suaramu
yang memanggil ku pulang ke dalam hatimu
karena hanyalah hatimu
rumah terindah

Ku kan pulang tunggu aku didepan pintumu
cinta mu pada ku tuntun jalan ku

Telah letih jalan ku dan terasa berat
Ku kan pulang ke hatimu rumah terindah
Ku pulang ke hatimu
Rumah terindah

Telah letih langkahku dan terasa berat
cukup banyak kesalahan kubuat
dimimpiku ku dengar bunyi suaramu
yang memanggil ku pulang ke dalam hatimu
karena hanyalah hatimu
rumah terindah

I always picture that as a song tributed to my home and my family, the one I can run to when every doors are closed for me...

Crossroad - by Terence Toolan RC.

Once more at the crossroads,
Lord where should I go?
Every path a mystery,
No signposts that I know.

I'm confused about everything,
What I feel, what I should do.
I know that I should trust you,
But I really wish I knew
What path that I should follow,
The life I ought to make,
How to fill this hollow,
When and what to give and take.

Should my mind or my feelings,
Or blind chance lead the way?
For my feelings pull me strongly,
But my mind has more to say.
I could always follow chance,
Because it's only chance to me,
To God it's part of the big plan,
One huge cosmic mystery.

Once more at the crossroads,
Lord where should I go?
Every path a mystery,
No signposts that I know.
Help me God, guide me,
I do not know the way.
You are the one true shepherd
Please lead me through today.
